Hello Everyone and Happy Holiday Season!
Katie Lorenz - Founder of Campo Alpaca, here. At the end of each year, I write up a little recap of the year.
As everyone knows, this has been a weird year for obvious reasons. This was Campo’s third year in business and we are very proud of what we’ve accomplished this year. Anyone who knows me knows I love my lists.
- All of our partners in Peru and in the USA are safe and healthy. While COVID slowed our process, it did not stop us
- Sales overall were down 30% from last year, due to lack of in-person events. We do great at in-person events. Once people feel our products, they sell themselves! We look forward to getting back to these events safely. That said…
Online Sales were up 80% from last year! We put a lot of time into growing our online marketing expertise and advertising smart and we learned LOTS! - We launched new products! Cardigans, mittens, scarves, new socks
- Once again, I had the pleasure of working with UW Madison Student interns on social media, copywriting, design, marketing, and emails. This group was phenomenal!
2020 was a crazy year, but I am incredibly grateful for everything that I have. Campo’s team in the USA, who are all volunteers at the moment: My family, friends, interns, and mentors. Our partners in Peru: Milagros, Patricia, and so many others. My full-time job at Accenture and the great team that I get to work with. These are difficult times: be kind to each other, find balance where you can, look for joy, and hang in everyone. Lastly thank you all for your support of me and Campo. It is so incredibly appreciated.
Cheers,
Katie Lorenz
