Monthly Company Update - August 2026
How is it August already?! December is basically around the corner, which means markets are almost here. For those new to Campo — we do a ton of pop-up markets over the fall and winter, mainly around Wisconsin with a few here in Illinois and Chicago. We can't wait to see you out there.
📦 Shipments Incoming
A shipment from Percy and the team in Cusco is arriving right now — alpaca fluffies, sweaters, scarves, all of it. We're processing everything for fall. Next round of new sweaters should land by end of the month. Very excited.
🛍️ Wholesale is Flying
We're now in 25+ shops — alpaca farms, boutiques, golf shops, the UW Bookstore and more. Wholesale has been going so well I've had to reset our sales goals twice this year. Also working on nailing down our trade show calendar for 2027, which is a really exciting next step. Have any retailer connections for us? Email us: Katie@Campoalpaca.com
🌐 Website & Brand Glow Up
We're in the middle of a website redesign, wrapping up with a new photo and video shoot. We're working with a great photographer and videographer to get real people in our products. Authentic content is important to us — we want to show you how things actually look and feel.
🤝 New: Start Out
I recently connected with Start Out, a fantastic organization that supports LGBTQ+ business owners and startups. The networking and programming have already made a huge impact. Really grateful to be part of that community.
🙋 We're Hiring - Market Help Wanted!
We need more hands at our Wisconsin markets this fall! Looking for a fun, outgoing person available select weekends. It's hourly + commission (above average for retail), food is included, and honestly — it's a great time. If you love people and want to make some extra money this fall, reach out! katie@campoalpaca.com
That's the news from Campo this month! Sometimes — all the time, honestly — I don't know how I did this alongside my Accenture job, because there is never enough time for everything.
A little something I've been learning lately:
Taking care of myself is the most important thing I can do for this business. I can't invest in Campo — or anything else in my life — if my cup is empty. Fellow entrepreneurs especially, but really anyone: what re-energizes you?
For me it's my favorite exercise classes, getting enough sleep, and yes — going to play kickball with my friends last night even though I had a massive to-do list staring me down. And guess what? Today was hyper productive and I feel almost caught up. It won't last (#entrepreneurlife), but that's the game!
Take care of yourselves out there. 🧡
Katie Lorenz
