It’s FINALLY fall, which means it’s sweater weather! This is our favorite time of year at Campo, and we’re so glad it’s here.

First, thank you all so much for the love and support you sent on my birthday. We started this thing 9 years ago, and it has been a wild ride. Birthdays are a great time to reflect on how far we’ve come in the last trip around the sun, and this year has been a big one:

• We launched wholesale!  Campo is now on shelves in boutiques, alpaca farms, golf shops and more.  20+ clients and growing!
• Our artisan partnerships keep growing, with 50+ makers in Arequipa, Peru behind every piece you wear.

• Growing the team:  We have a new social media ninja named Cassie who is INCREDIBLE and a small army of contractors via Upwork without whom I would be epically hosed.  Last but not least - working with fellow Badger Alum, Mikey Savino of Dodda has been a game changer for me and Campo. He's been advising us financially and on overall strategy, he's created the Campo Colorado brand extension and helping us on our way to scaling the company.

Highs:

• NEW Badger sweaters are here!
  • The Wisconsin W Cardigan ($188): A varsity-inspired button-up with signature cream sleeve stripes, a bold Wisconsin “W,” and front patch pockets, made in Arequipa, Peru from our superfine alpaca blend. It’s the kind of sweater you’ll reach for year after year. Heads up: it runs generous with roomy sleeves, so size down if you like a more fitted look.
  • The New Badger Crew ($160): A fresh take on classic Badger spirit that’s soft, warm, and lightweight, perfect for game days, weekends up north, or everyday wear. Breathable, itch-free, and a unisex fit for men and women.
     
    
• Wholesale year one has been great, and it keeps getting better. We’re now in 20+ retailers, from boutiques and alpaca farms to golf shops and more.
• The Market Marathon is a WRAP! We finished our September and October markets with record-breaking sales. One of my favorite parts is getting to know our customers. We have regulars who come see us every year, some who treat themselves to a new sweater each season. Stories and moments like these truly make my day.

Lows

Our shipment from Lima is incredibly delayed. We’ll be pulling everything together as quickly as possible to get it up on the website and ready for you for November and the final holiday push.

Why bring it up? Because in small business (and honestly, all business), there will be delays and things that break down. It’s a constant game of “make it work,” as Tim Gunn would say. Luckily we have a great team, and we’re jumping straight into a photoshoot next Monday, which I’m so excited for!
