Warm, soft, and don't make your feet sweat

I purchased these socks as a gift for a loved one who is VERY particular about what he wears both in terms of fabric and in terms of aesthetic. He loves them! He has worn them on multiple very cold days and one just-above-freezing day, which I know because he sent me messages each of those days exclaiming how soft, warm, and comfortable they were (and how they were continuing to be soft, warm, and comfortable wear after wear). When I recently bemoaned that some of my synthetic fiber fuzzy socks make my feet sweat and are not warm, he told me I should get some like the kind I got him. Needless to say, he's super pleased with them, and I'm planning to get more -- some for myself and some for friends!
