How many years has it been since you interned at CAMPO?
I was a part of Campo in 2019 so it has been two years ago
Can you describe your internship experience at CAMPO? What were your responsibilities?
The had multiple roles. Loved how I had the flexibility and independence to do what we wanted. The internship was a fantastic opportunity and I worked a lot with non-profit strategy (identify which non-profit we would work with + supporting marketing)
Where are you now in your professional career?
Consultant at Oliver Wyman, worked a lot in industries involving: E-commerce, banking/financial services, private equity, oil&gas, etc.
Why did you decide to join CAMPO? What struck out to you about the company?
I have Peruvian-American background so Campo ties with Peru was really personal for me. It was also a great opportunity for an internship to develop new skills and the ability to have independence when it comes to working on some projects. Katie is also a brilliant human being. She is super smart and kind.
Do you believe that CAMPO can create a positive impact on other communities and the environment?
For sure, 100 percent, the work that they have already done has already shown to have an impact. Campo lives up to its mission and helps out the people they are trying to serve. Katie does care very deeply about social entrepreneurship and helping others.
What did you enjoy most about your internship experience at CAMPO?
Working with like-minded and hardworking people. Katie was also a great leader and mentor. I loved how I was able to work on projects that actually matter and making a positive impact on other communities and the world.
How has your CAMPO internship created an impact on your professional development and career?
It has been an interesting experience to be able to talk about my Campo experience in interviews. I think Campo has definitely helped me stand out. The internship allowed me to gain more independence and the drive to accomplish high-impact work. This has lead me to a career in consulting.
