How many years has it been since you interned at Campo?

"It has been 3 months since I interned for Campo."

Can you describe your internship experience at Campo? What were your responsibilities?

"For the first semester I worked at Campo, I was in charge of the blog content. I would write one article per week and brainstorm any topics. I then shifted to the social media side for my second semester. I was in charge of running the Instagram and Facebook accounts and hosting giveaways on social media."

Where are you now in your professional career?

"I have a part-time social media job at the Urban Outdoors, which I love. I am currently looking for a full-time position and am working on building my freelance portfolio for content writing and social media."

Why did you decide to join Campo?

"I actually helped create content for Campo through the advertising club at Madison. I was a part of their team and helped design graphics for them. I thought that the company was really unique, and I liked that it was created by a UW Alum, so I reached out to see if I could intern for them!"

Do you believe that Campo can create a positive impact on other communities and the environment?

"I definitely believe that it can create a positive impact, which is another thing I love about Campo. They are already making a big difference for so many families in Peru. It also could have a big impact on the environment since it is slow fashion. Fast fashion is one of the leading causes of climate change and a major problem, so I think it's cool that Campo is going against this."

What did you enjoy most about your internship experience at Campo?

"I enjoyed working with other Madison students and building a community. I also loved that I could work in many different areas and see what I loved. I was interested in social media, and asked Katie if I could try running the accounts. She said yes and now that's what I want to go into because I loved it so much."

How has your Campo internship created an impact on your professional development and career?

"It has made a big impact on my career. My current social media job I got through Katie, and my experience from Campo helped me to land the job."
